The Castle of Bracciano – Latium
A few kilometers from Rome, rises majestically the castle of Bracciano, one of the most beautiful and imposing Renaissance residences in Europe, a palimpsest of history, architecture and msteriosa magic. Legend has it that Princess Isabella de’ Medici received numerous lovers at night in her bedroom. The woman, who had a particularly fiery temperament, after meeting her many lovers only once, would invite them to enter a door that led into a small sitting room, where she assured them that she would join them shortly afterward. But behind the door was an open trapdoor on the floor that swallowed the unfortunates, causing them to fall into a pit filled with quicklime. The woman’s husband, tired of her betrayals and, especially enamored of a young courtesan, strangled her with a red ribbon one night.
Legend has it that the ghost of Isabella De Medici still roams the castle, particularly in the rooms where she met her lovers. Who knows, curious presences and unusual characters in this particular month might cheer you up in a fun way as you wait to recharge and have an unusual experience.

The Castle of the Vicars – Tuscany
Recharging your car in Tuscany in October offers you a thrilling possibility. A visit to the Castello dei Vicari, which dominates the medieval village of Lari from above, is not to be missed.
It is said to be one of the most haunted places in the region precisely because of its historical connotation. In fact, for a time the castle was the seat of the Inquisition Tribunal and then was a prison in the mid-2000s.
To this day because of this it is said that in the fortress of Lari, several souls dwell.

The Village of Witches – Liguria
Recharge by exploring Triora, a village perched 800 meters above sea level that hides a terrible mystery. It was a tragic story that happened in the late 1500s that gave this medieval village the nickname “Witch Country.” Some local women were in fact accused of witchcraft, suffering one of the most famous trials held in our country. So fierce that the village was nicknamed the “Salem of Italy.” A place where time seems to stand still.
The walls of the ancient village still surround the citadel and its narrow alleys that rise, fall and cross from time to time, ending in small squares or leading to the doorway of some gate where a witch is depicted. The remains of the ancient defensive towers and the ancient castle, built entirely in the rock on the highest point, still remain visible.
